MPX220 & iPaq 4700 on Cingular GPRS?

Greetings all,

Has anyone here gotten a PocketPC to successfully use the MPX220 on Cingular to establish a GPRS connection?

I have an iPaq 4700, and I can (usually) get the two devices to pair up, but I have yet to be able to get the iPaq 4700 to connect to the internet using the GPRS connection from the MPX220.

I saw some posts on howardforums.com about the apparent need to paste a custom dial string into a communications window each time. Is that really required? I hope not. Surely there has to be a way to get it more automated than that.

Back in the day, I had a SonyEricsson T68i on T-Mobile with an iPaq 5450, and I never had any trouble at all.

If anyone has this working, or knows how to get it working, I would certainly like to hear from you!
