Transferring SMS' to another device

Hi.

I've just brought myself a HTC Magician/i-mate JAM/XDA mini and was wondering if there is any way to transfer my sms messages from my C500 to my i-mate JAM?

I thought that perhaps, because they both run WM2003 that it might work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Jeyo Mobile Companion should allow you to do this. You can export all your SMS into a file (well, two files, one incoming and one outgoing) from your C500. You can also do the same with contacts and call history. Then swap phones, plug in your Magician, and do an import from the backup files. This is what I've done when upgrading ROM's or hard resetting my C500 and it works a treat.

Theres also an SMS plugin for Outlook, also by Jeyo, but last time I tried it you couldn't put the SMS back on so I ended up with a load of SMS messages in Outlook and no way to restore them. Apparently the newest version does allow you to re-upload them to the phone but I haven't tried it as I'm happy with Jeyo's standalone app.
