I doubt it TBH

On my C500 I struggle to hit the "joystick" thing properly - as often as not I get left/up rather than "select" - so I doubt I'd be able to hit a quarter of one on the number buttons.

Interesting idea though

Welcome to the site ;)

The biggest problem with any full keyboard is the size, where things are getting smaller ie the C500 I personally would not want to go to a larger device just to be able to use a keyboard.

Nice idea though and may find a small corner of the market that may be interested.

Good Luck

Thank you for the opinions. Can you say which of the described solutions should you prefer?

There are allready a number of patented methods for this kind of thing such as

http://www.digitwireless.com/

Any I'm sure I've seen at least 1 other but I can't find it now, that is not vastly different from your proposal.

Never used one of these, they may be good, but it really depends on the accuracy of hitting the keys.

Also this concept:

http://www.chicagologic.com/overview.htm

Covers the idea of mapping the phone keypad in a qwerty like setup as opposed to alphabeticaly.

Just thought you should know as these might make your patents harder to defend.

Thank you for the opinions. Can you say which of the described solutions should you prefer?
