I'm trying to get my SMT5600 from Cingular to active sync via bluetooth, every tutorial I've found, evenaultly makes referance to enabling com ports. My problem is I only have an option for "New Incoming Port" the option for "New Outgoing port" is there but it's greyed out.

Also every post I see talks about configuing com ports in "BT Serial Port Setup" I simply do not have this option. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? Thanks for your help.

Missing "New Outgoing Port": I fixed this problem by installing a different Bluetooth device and then deleting the problem device first, then deleting the new device second; then reinstall the problem device and my serial port and New Outgoing Port selections became visible.

Disclaimer: I'm a novice hacker who frequently has success with doing bold and crazy things to my phone; but I never know for certain why it worked - use this advice at your own risk. My theory on this one is that the problem device has a buggy "pairing" routine and it "steals" the outgoing port for itself (and from all others) and by installing/removing another device that has no such bugs that you kick the Bluetooth settings in the head - resetting them to a good state.
