I have a Qtek 8080, i already have an e-mail account with hotmail

i am trying to work out how to set this up on my phone so that i can send and recieve e-mails.

Anyone know how?

I'll show the settings i have to go though in Email setup

Automatic setup: fails Enter settings manually

Password:

Domain (if neccessary): ???

Sever type: (POP3 or IMA4) ???

Account name:

Network: The Internet, Work, WAP Network, Secure WAP Network) ???

Any clues?

Hotmail is a web based email so you can access it via ie.

If you have an old hotmail.com address and have accessed it via pop3 before (from Outlook) then joining Modaco plus will enable you to set it up as a pop3 account on your phone but MS have disabled this feature for new accounts.

I have a hotmail.com account, but dont think ive used it with Outlook, so is there a chance then. If so hoe do i set up all the servers and so on?

I believe that if you've not used it before you can't now. Certainly you can't if the account was set up since 1st January 2005. If it was set up before then you might be able to do it but not without 3rd party help. The easiest way to get this is to join Modaco Plus who provide this service to members and will tell you how to set it up. Otherwise, do a search in the software section and someone else sells this service.

But, like I said, I believe MS have blocked this if you were not already using it, if so, the only way you can see your email on your phone is via the web.
