IM+ or Agile Messenger with T-Mobile T-Zones?

IS there a way to get IM PLus or Agile Messenger to work with T-Mobiles $4.99 T-Zones?

I've read the stickies, searched, searched outside of Modaco and HoFo (Yes life does exist outside HoFo!) and also contacted Tech Support at both companies (Agile and IM Plus) but simply cannot get them to connect.

Surely the only solution isn't to upgrade to $19.99 Internet plan???

I'm sure I've read somewhere on Modaco that T-Mob block certaimn ports on the $4.99 plan - including those used for IM.

According to posts on howard Forums, "some" people have been able to get it to work by using an older copy of Agile Mesenger (prior to 3.11)

Interesting I've forgotten what port IM uses but if T-Mob have blocked that port I wonder how the older version gets round it?

I wish I knew and all my please for an older version of Agile over on HoFo have gone unanswered. I have also contacted tech' Support at the companies that make IM Plus and Agile Messenger but have received no assistance whatsoever.
