Guest Restorer Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Just got one of those bluetooth handsfrees that go in the cigar lighter for my c500. Everything hooked up fine but the microphone (a kind of tube thing that sticks out of the top) is very faint and echoey. Does anyone else have experience of this style of kit? I am not sure if I should send it back as faulty.
Guest C00LH4ND Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 Dude I am not sure which model you have, but in a recent test by "which" mag all the plug in BT handsfree kits rated badly see below....... Don’t Buy Avoid all three car kits that we tested: sound quality is poor. The Siemens HKP-620 sounds awful when you're driving and outgoing speech sounds garbled and unclear. The Pama Plug ‘N’ Go Roadster and Kondor Uni Talk car kits were worse. Speech through the Kondor is hard to understand, and the Pama has an annoying buzzing sound
