Hey all,

Apparently new info over the Samsung i730 - it showed up on the Verizon website in the US.

It looks stunning, at least according to me: the size of the i-mate Jam (possibly slightly thicker), with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, with included WiFi and 128mb of ROM (some say 64mb - we'll see)

Here's more info:

I'm currently reluctant to get the i-mate Jam because of lack of keyboard - this is the main means of input currently for me using my Treo 600, and really helps in one-handed operation. Also, the lack of WiFi doesn't help, as I wouldn't want to have a WiFi card sticking out or having to take it in and out all the time.

I am hopeful a potential Jam II will include a slide-out keyboard, either like Samsung's or a smaller version of M2000's keyboard, and included WiFi. That would seal the deal for me.

Anyone have further info about UK availability of this Samsung i730 (or its cousin the i750 which is the GSM version with numeric pad) ??

I'm not a fan of the slide out keyboards. They add unnecessary bulk and weight. It's really easy and fast for me to write with the stylus and is my preferred method of text input.

But the phone does look nice, though I'll never switch back to Verizon because of their lack of new technology. They have been doing better lately...but it's too few and far between.
