Guest skiitz Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Hi guys, In windows media player there is a file called windowsmedia.asf which comes on the phone by default. this file is really annoying as it is a video which plays itself as it is going through the playlist. Anyone know of a way to delete it as it is a system file and cannot be deleted on the phone or throgh windows explorer? I have a smartphone2 by the way Cheers
Guest Confused Stu Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Even if you do find a way to unprotect it and delete it, as it's part of the OS I think it'll be reinstated every time you start up the phone! Better option would be install Betaplayer as this can play all the same files as Windows Media player and more, and you can set up playlists rather than just loading up everything you've got on the phone. This way, you can play your songs/videos without the annoying "Hi I'm Windows Media Player!" thing! ;)
