Guest Nekso Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Hi, I'm new at the forum and at smartphones as well.. I've been thinking for a long time, on a solution where I can remotely control my home/work pcs with a smartphone. For that I was thinking on Citrix's GotoMyPc (www.gotomypc.com). Anyone with past experience with that? At first, I was leaning towards a Nokia 7710 (maybe not really a smartphone, I'm sorry if the terminology I use is incorrect), since it supports HTML, Java and all that (and it has a touchscreen) but by taking a closer look at the service requirements I got the impression I’ll need a more robust PDA with windows mobile and all, I guess. The problem is that all I saw (I've been looking at QTek's) didn't have UMTS or EDGE for broadband and because I want to use it as my primary mobile, 7710 seems more comfortable for that matter (more like a PDA-enabled mobile and less like a mobile-enabled PDA like QTek's). I'm rather clueless here, I'm just looking for some suggestions to achieve that goal. What other smartphones should I look at? Does GotoMyPc work on Qtek's? Or what other similar services should I look for? HELP! ;)
