Guest talksoncorners Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 I assume it's a hardware fault, but if anyone else has any ideas, I'm listening... I had my SPV e200 replaced about 4 months ago (but it's now out of warranty) and recently, whenever I put any SD card in, I get the message: "Do you want to try to format this storage card to make it readable? This will permanently delete any files on the card." After formatting, the card still isn't readable, and on re-inserting the card I get the same message. Tried with with about 4 different cards, including the free 8mb one I got from Orange. I've tried a hard reset, and that doesn't help either. Any thoughts?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Try formatting the card using Task Manager from www.binarys.com see it that helps.

Card's definately not broke or write-protected, works fine in my friend's spv e200 and my pc reader. Thanks for the idea though.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Sounds like a hardware fault, maybe the contacts are not making the card correctly. Not an easy one to check and repair.
