sp3i rom in a sda

Hi,

have had t-mobile sda for 3 months now good phone, but find the loudspeaker/earpiece volume to be too low compared with a friends sp3i, is it possible to overwrite the rom in my sda with that for sp3i?

if so would there be any negatives to doing so.

It's possible as far as I know but 2 SDA additional buttons (Internet and e-mail) won't work

Do you think i would need to get the phone unlocked + apps unlocked to overwrite the rom?

Sure. But it's more complicated. You need to use a special tool TyphoonNbfTools V0.3. You can find it here http://www.spv-developers.com/

Also there are some issues if you'd like to roll back to original SDA ROM. Look at forums to find the way how to do it.
