Guest GX1 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 (edited) Has anyone tried this stuff, called "Displex" for screen scratches? It's at this site: http://www.cellularaccessory.com/displex.html Does this really work? Thanks! Edited May 26, 2005 by GX1
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 I don't know if it was the same stuff, but a guy at worked used something similar to get rid of key scratches on the screen of his K700... didn't make any difference at all
Guest danman_dk Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 just use toothpaste (normal kind, in case of 'too strong')... ...fills in the gaps...and smells good too ;)

Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Search....."Displex"? ;) http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=106320&hl=displex http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=94315&hl=displex http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=66768&hl=displex Some of these might help but as awarner has said many times, it may make the problem worse.
Guest Confused Stu Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Tried displex - tried it and didn't make any difference to scratch. Tried again, thought scratch looked a little better. Tried again, thought scratch looked a little tiny bit better. Put lots on..... .....and caused three other HUGE scratches and a couple of dozen smaller ones, and one big "melted" bit in the middle of the screen. Shipped phone to HTC for repair! Granted, I did try it drunk (never a good idea, but you never learn!) but I won't be trying it again as I know I'm always going to make a problem worse rather than better! One silver lining - I had to take my phone apart to de-dust it before Orange admitted it was a problem. While HTC had my phone, they replaced my "VOID" sticker, so my warranty must now be back in force with Orange! Cheers guys!! ;)
Guest extravagant Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I highly doubt it will work. dont waste ur money, simply invest in a leather case or something like myself, that proper one that coveres almost the entire phone from Krusell
Guest smeg36 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 I just used it yesterday to get some scratches out of a Voq. It worked exactly as advertised, and I am extremely happy with the result. The $5 displex increased the resale value about $75 by eliminating the screen scratches. Very happy.
