Hi! I just bought my c500 from england but i live in sweden. How do i install the cert.cab? i dont have a orange sim card so i cant access any menus. i tried using both Pauls SmartRun and JerreInstall but the installation never starts since i guess i have to confirm that i want to install the program.

Is there anyway to pass this? Could someone maybe send me the files in the .cab as plain files? I can still access the phone through Active sync

Worked for me too (Orange SPV C500 about 2-3 months old, application unlocked using a customised application sent to me by Orange). Tried it with a Virgin Mobile SIM which didn't used to work and it now does - thanks for this!! Glad I waited before paying £20, especially as it now means I can get a replacement C500 should I want one as it's starting to get dust in it.

I believe installing the C500 rom on an SDA wouldn't work properly as the SDA uses joystick drivers not found in the C500...

The C500 unlock will not work on an SDA.

This unlock is so well timed as I'm about to send my fathers C500 off for replacement due to dust and didn't want to pay £20 again to sim unlock the replacement (although I do think Florin_m has the right to charge what he wants).

Even if you do have a copy of it, the program still need to make a connection to the spv-development server, and you won't be able to do the unlocking anyway. ;)
