Guest capblack Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Thanks to some invaluable efforts from itsme, and anonymous, our SPV C500 unlocking tool is now in alpha ;) There are, however, some limitations, which we are working to resolve:Your phone must be an Orange C500. Do NOT run this on an AudioVox phone or ROM. Ignoring this may result in your phone becomming unusable till we add AudioVox compatibility.Your phone must be application unlocked, and have our cert.cab file installed. This file should be included with the SPV-Services package. We realise this is a big limitation, again it's something we are working around.Additionally, SPV-Developers or it's admins will not be held responsible for any problems caused by this tool. However, all changes made are 100% reversible, and we will do are best to help should anything unexpected happen. To try this service, you will need to download the SPV-Services Client. The file cert.cab needs to be copied to your phone and executed. After this, run the SPV-Services.exe, and have fun :D If you try it, please post your feedback. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Just a page or so back people spoke as to how to fix this issue. I searched around and found a thread you need to check out: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=application

Guest kepster Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Hi, been reading through this thread but there seem to be conflicting statements - wll this work on a UK T-Mobile SDA or not? Cheers!
Guest valerebel Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Nice one guys, easy peasy, took less than a minute. Just one thing though, after unlocking my C500 I had a problem launching TomTom Mobile 4 due to not having the appropriate security certificate or words to that effect. I tried applying and removing the application lock but no joy, so in the end I re-flashed the ROM and everything was OK. I tried installing various other applications prior to the re-flash, some worked some didn't. Before you ask, yes they worked before the unlocking. The re-flashing of the ROM did the trick anyway. Anyway, thanks again to those committed SPV Developers for their efforts. Cheers VALEREBEL :)
