does anyone know of a software that we could install on spv c500 that we could use to control PC for media centre or just to access other stuff on the pc remotely?

I have found a software here : http://www.jeyo.com but it is only for sony ericsson mobiles sadly.

Has anyone used any software at all?

In the download's section of MoDaCo, a guy called KingHerc (I think) posted a program that you can use to remote control your PC from your phone. You install one program on the PC and set it to "listen", install another on the phone, link up the bluetooth and get Activesync running (an art in itself first time!), then run the program on the phone.

I use it alot between my C500 and laptop to run presentations at work. The phone can simulate the mouse or keyboard, or (I think) you can program it to do a specific series of keys or mouse moves when you select one thing.

Don't know if this is exactly what you're after, but it's what I've always used and I love it! ;)

No problem. I do remember it took a few attempts to get Activesync working over bluetooth, but there is a guide stuck at the top of one of the forums (Smartphone Help & Advice I think) as to how to do it.

Once that's up and running I had to spend 15 mins or so playing with settings on both sides of the Remote Control software, but once it was up and working I've NEVER had a single problem with it.

Good luck.
