Guest PPCPassion Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I must be mentally challenged as each program i bought (such Personal vehicle manager, Keep Track etc.) indicated when I am in numeric field (such as entering amount of check or amount of money spent on gas etc.) pushing * key should enter decimal point but it does not on my Audiovox SMT 5600 SP. When I push * key, all I see is changing the mode from numeric>abc>t9 etc. What am I doing wrong. Support from both these programs indicated I should be able to enter the decimal point by pushing * key while in the numeric mode. I am able to enter all the digits correctly, it's just the decimal point which does not want to work. Someone had suggested to uninstalling XBAR2 as it may the reason, I did that but still no luck. Will appreciate any help I could get. Thanks
Guest digger Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 The best advice I can give you is to press and hold the # key. This will give you the option to choose the decimal point.

I recd another email from iliumsoft (Keep track develop.) that they have not had any trouble entering decimal point by simply pressing * key. Oh well, I guess I'll cont to press and hold * key and then pick up symbol mode to enter decimal. Thanks again for your reply.
