need urgent help!

I am using microsoft i-mate with windows 2002 version.When i hold the * key T9 mode doesnt get activated.Only number and multi press modes get acivated.Can anybody please help me out.

Have you installed any new applications recently?

You should only need to press the * button breifly and it should toggle through the options.

No,actually from the time i have bought the phone,this is how it is.It never used to toggle.

How long have you had the phone ?

If you bought it second-hand I would suggest a hard reset. I assume that i-Mate included t9 in their Smartphone 2002 ROMs.

No i got a new one from DUBAI,I live in INDIA so can't possibly get the phone changed.I baught two phones like these and both have the same problem.

I already did a hard reset but it doesn't help.There is a dll file named t9....,this dll file is in the windows dir(ROM) so i suppose it has the feature and the manual also says,it has T9
