Guest TOPGUN1988 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 I have a Motorola MPx 200 and up till now i filled it with lots of programs and the phone does all kind of weird stuff like not running some applications or not shutting off when i press the power button etc. My 1st question is: how do i format my motorola Mpx200 to make it the same as it was when i bought it? i understand there was a cd with my phone and the phone's operating system might be on the cd but there are not any options or help on how to format it. In addition to this i use a ringtone of my favourite song in *.wav file format but it takes up too much room (almost entire memory). How can i use *.mp3 ringtones on my phone??? Is there any special program? Please help! ;)
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Squall's Quick Links topic pinned at the top of this section gives you hard reset instructions for all phones : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=198362 This will get you back to 'factory' / 'out of the box' condition. The phone's OS is never on the CD but it is fully repaired by a hard reset.TYhe only useful things on the CDs are copies of ActiveSync, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Everything else will be demos you can get from Handango etc. Forget about MP3 ringtones on the MPx200 - it ain't gonna happen ;) Convert them to PCM-format wavs and trim them to 30 seconds with Windows Sound Recorder. You can also use MID0 format ringtones if you prefer.
