I was quite interested when I got the email from MS saying that Pocket MSN had been released for 2003 Smartphones. So I promptly went to the website and downloaded. I get the problem saying that the app has insufficient privileges to install. Having contacted Orange CS I was told that it wasn't available. I replied basically saying that was unacceptable and then got another email from a 'techie'(!) ... She basically suggested that by application unlocking the phone through the orange partner site I would be able to install Pocket MSN. However, I have successfully app unlocked the phone - but still no joy with Pocket MSN!

Needless to say I have emailed them again - but my question is:

Has anyone else tried this? and had any luck?

and... is it worth it ?? maybe i'll get there eventually and be totally disappointed with Pocket MSN - but I won't know until I install it!!!!

Do you mean MSN messenger? because that came pre-installed on my C500.

No, the software I am referring to is Pocket MSN - which includes Messenger incidentally, but also includes native OTA Hotmail support, and support for various MSN sites. It is available here http://mobile.msn.com/ac.aspx?cid=pmsn_market . I believe it comes as part of Windows Mobile 5.0 but MS have decided to release it to previous versions as well - as long as your 'wireless provider' = Orange... let you! :x

Anyone else tried to install this?
