However this is only audible with headphones ,when i connected the phone to my 2.1 sound sistem the music had very good quality and the "Tsss" noise could not be heared unless u listened the melodies carefully, but let's be honest if i am using my SPV for a party ,do u think that people would pay that much attention to such details ?My opinion is that the audio bug is annoying but not enough 4 me to give up the phone ,it is absolutelly cooler than my previous phones ! ;) :D

Guest evilking Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Only 14 votes? I guess the problem isn't widespread.
Guest stormy Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Only 14 votes? I guess the problem isn't widespread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I think its widespread in all the phones from the posts on this forum. Its certainly present in my few week old C500. I will just have to get used to it and of course as mentioned its not always noticable. Its a bit annoying as I do use my phone as an MP3 player. (So in that respect its a bit worse than the old SPV I had). I guess its there to stay though as the powers that be don't seem to want to, or can't fix it. Maybe its a hardware issue.
Guest The Undefeated Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Wow more people have said "Hiss noise? What hiss noise?" I’ve heard it quite a few times, it’s a problem on all of the phones so it is a widespread problem, but you can only hear it with songs that are instrumental / mainly singing (and by instrumental I don't mean Guitar / drums)
Guest pjam001 Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 bit of a pain when I like to listen to Travis, Keane, Cold Play, etc
Guest evilking Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 I finally got my c500! (yay!) I can happily put a tick in the "what hiss noise" box, although the phone does pop and crackle when using headphones (my own using adapter) and browsing the menus. I can hear the hiss noise if I plug into the computer, turn up the volume on my speakers (very, very loud) and scroll the menu. I have a feeling the volume of the noise varies from phone to phone cos mine is so quiet.
Guest stormy Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 I have a feeling the volume of the noise varies from phone to phone cos mine is so quiet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not by phone, but by music type played ;) The volume of the tsss is purely dependant on the music and tones coming out of the phone, like the sticky up at the top if its in the 16khz region its gonna be loud, if not then it wont be so bad (or noticable). I have just gone from listening to an Infected Mushroom album (high bpm, heavy and noisy) and hardly hear the tsss at all, now on the same artist with soft, instrumentals the tsss is loud and clear (and annoying). If you want to get annoyed, download the test tone from: http://www.modaco.com/Analysis_of_the_HTC_...se-t201124.html That exhibits the worst it will usually be. Mike
