Guest gemx Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 Hi, I have a problem using the ALS Service (2 Phone numbers on the same SIM Card for incoming and outgoing calls. It is a GSM feature) I have E+ Germany as provider and the ALS feature (E+ calls it "Private Line") enabled. It's the same as Orange offers in the UK. Generally Smartphone 2002 and Smartphone 2003 Phones should support this feature and with my old Mio 8380 everything worked fine. But as i switched to the SPV E200 the switching between the outgoing lines does not work anymore. It seems that Smartphone 2003 checks the SIM Card if the feature is supported and shows or hides the menu entry under Setttings| Call Options. The problem is that E+ does not set the corrosponding bit (or sets it in a non standard way). So when the phone starts up it thinks ALS is not supported and does not show the entry. Smartphone 2002 seems to not do this check. I have two ideas how to solve that problem: - set the CSP Field on the SIM Card to the correct value (Don't which API to use or if it is possible via the Smartphone at all. Perhaps a SIM Cardwriter?) - Disable the detection and show the menu entry always (no idea how to achieve this) I tried to initialize the second line via TAPI and establish a call, but TAPI says there is only one line avaible. So the detection of ALS lies perhaps somewhere in the TAPI Provider "Cellular line"? Please help if anybody has an idea. I am totally stuck here and i really really need to switch the outgoing line.
Guest gemx Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Hey. Nobody got any ideas??? Hm, could it be possible to set or read the CSP of the SIM card via calls to SimReadRecord? Would that be an option?
Guest gemx Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Just to check if it is a Registry setting: Could someone who has 2 Lines enabled (e.g. Orange UK) send me a Registry export from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE? PLEASE, THAT WOULD BE VERY NICE ;)
Guest gemx Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Hi, I did some investigations I found out that only these 2 regkeys may be import. Please, could someone who uses Orange export them to a reg file (via PHM Regedit or Smartione) and mail them to me? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Phone HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone THANK YOU ;)
