Hope it helps ! ;)

Guest fraser Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Use "MortPlayer" instead of Windows Media Player. It's better in every single way, and you can set up a key shortcut to switch off the display as you are looking for.
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Mortplayer is the best PPC MP3 player certainly, but Spb PocketPlus gives you 'Minimise' options for all too. You can configure with exceptions etc

It is a freeware. You could turn off the backlight and still continue programs running in the background.

Guest bolasz Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 (edited) I use this app, it switches off the screen and locks all buttons exept action. (Credits go to Philippe Majerus for this app)Scrsaver.zip Edited June 4, 2005 by bolasz
Guest ultimasnake Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 hmm that screensaver app seems to do the Trick.. BUT it seems to give me some problems... i have to press the power button several times :s... first it turns off the screensaver+programs then to press it again to turn it on again etc.... :S.. but interesting there is an app which can do it.. maybe i can make my own then ;) thanks :D
Guest bolasz Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 i have to press the power button several times<{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are meant to press the action button to switch it off.
Guest ultimasnake Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Well i just finished my own application now ;P doesn't lock the buttons.. just turns off the screen.. thus letting me control media player while screen is off ;)
