"Add Ring Tone" function not seeing .mid files?

Hello all,

I've just got me an MDA Compact - which I'm liking. According to the handbook, using the "Add Ring Tone" in settings will see all .wav's and .mids on your handset, and then allow you to 'activate' them as useable tones. I'm doing this and it's not seeing .mid files. Anyone noticed this or am I doing something wrong.

I want to use a midi file for my morning alarm call ;-)

Cheers in advance,

I've noticed that as well. Am I missing something really obvious?

Hi All,

I have a Vodafone VPA Compact ( Magician ) and to use .mid as a ringtone i use a programe that was already installed called file explorer click and hold on the .mid until menu apears then select "Set as Ringtone". Hope that helps.

or you can copy the files into /windows/rings and then select them from the phone settings.

thats what the file explorers do.. :)
