Orange network quality

Hy everyone ,it’s cold_fire here .I am starting this new post in order to check if any of u (users of Orange ) have had network problems. Orange Romania uses the 900 Mhz band and has over 5.000.000 users (both prepaid and postpaid) .

In the area I am in (somewhere in center of Romania) there is a big density of Orange users .The network problems were not obvious about 2 years ago ,but now due to increased number of users the network has many problems .Some few months ago there were some repairings done and the situation seemed to go back to normal ,but now it starts to have serious problems again.

In order for you to understand precisely what I mean ,here are some of the things that happened to me lately : it happened three times since I bought my SPV C500 (January 2005) that my phone was actually “stoned” : displaying the Orange logo ,the signal strength was close to max ,the led flashed green as if the phone was in the network ,but when I tried to make a call I got a busy tone (I tried to more numbers including 112 –emergency) ,when someone called me I was “out of reach of network” ,Cell Track displayed cell “0-0” ,I restarted the device and problems were gone ,however it is not the phone that has the blame ,as this thing happened with my previous phones ,but the network .

The MMS service has good and bad times ,in good times it reaches it’s destination in max 30 sec. and in it’s bad ones it can take a day or two ,I remember sending a MMS once as I was fishing that day to a person wich was working at her office ,and the MMS reached her allmost 48 hrs later ,the problem is that when I called Customer Care the operator told me “But it reached didn’t it?” so there’s how serious they are ,I began using email instead of MMS as it is cheaper and less network dependent.

Sunday I have sent them an email with precise information of the area I was in (thanx to Zone Mr I could tell them the cells I was connected to) and the problems that occur ,the answer was that they will install a site into this location to clear network problems b4 september this year ,however if things go bad I will buy a prepay simcard from CONNEX (the other main network operator in Romania ,branded by Vodafone recently) to try their network and if the results are better I will give up Orange.

What I want u to do is please report if u had any network problems simillar to mine in your country. Thanx a lot !!! ;) :D ;)

I have sent Orange an email 3 pages long and their answer was about 3-4 rows so there is how intersted they are .

I have sent Orange Romania an email regarding the decert process in march and they called me yesterday (after 3 months !!!) to tell me they have the solution ,so profesional ...Anyway i decerted the phone thanks to MoDaCo. ;)

No one has network problems ,hard 2 believe ...
