Guest Paraklas Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Just noticed it a while ago.. The SIM manager utility that existed in previous ROMs that lets you manage SIM contacts on the MPx220 (copy to phone and vice versa, erase, etc) does not come in ROM 1.43 - maybe the previous version as well but I don't remember. Can anyone suggest a third party application that does more or less the same job? Thanks, Paris

Guest Paraklas Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 There was up until 1.03 Cingular/ 1.25 European. Don't know why they took it away..

The MPx220 syncs with Outlook on your PC, so all your contact information is stored on the computer in the event of a phone meltdown ;) . Besides, the phone memory allows you to store multiple phone numbers and emails for each person, whereas the SIM memory stores 1 number for every contact (sometimes making multiple contacts if the person has more than 1 number), and doesn't even store the email addresses, home/office address, and other things like that.
Guest Paraklas Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 A friend of mine upgraded from a Nokia 3210. No outlook or any kind of sync... All his contacts were on SIM so a copy-to-phone utility should be there.
