Guest mapleleaf Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 (edited) Hi all-Ive just purchased a motorola spx200 and I love it-certainly beats a 3330  Ive got a few games on a disk-ive no idea how i copy them onto the phone etc and I managed to get 1 on it but it says: Error:Access denied. The program cannot start because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate. Does anybody know what Ive done wrong or what I need to do-or can anyone link me to help for this phone? Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks in advance Jon EDIT-Ive also tried to application unlock this phone-but the web address in the guide doesnt work-does anybody have a working url for the unlock? Guest Disco Stu Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Assuming your phone is not a very early version, this is the only way to unlock it : http://www.modaco.com/Application_unlockin...ir-t198952.html It doesn't always work first time and not always immediately when it does. Once unlocked you will be able to install the games.

Guest mapleleaf Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Right I just did a hard reset and I have a disk burnt for me with a flash file-how on earth do I get this too flash the phone please? And Ive tried de-certing and it gives me all the done messages but nothing on the phone yet? Can anyone offer me any help? my msn is [email protected] please any expert mpx200 users add me and help pls!lol
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 If you have done a hard reset, you don't need a ROM flash unless you want to change the OS. If you're intending to flash the leaked 2003 ROM onto the phone you should do some reading of the MPx200 section here first because there have been as many negative reports as there have been positive. Also, you have application unlocked the phone before, so the same method applies. Don't forget to connect to GPRS again before starting.
Guest moosery Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I second that. Not sure what you meant by "the phone has filled up somehow" though. Methinks a hard reset was harsh. I assume you tried removing the battery with it turned on (a useful but probably unethical trick ;)) One extra point I couldve used when I was hard resetting the mpx200 - make sure the battery is 100% full. If it's too late, and you hard reset it, chill. Fully charge it with power off, and it will vibrate when full. Hard reset again, and bob's your uncle. If you must flash to 2003 - then the flash you've been given should have full instructions and a flash utility. If it doesnt, then...rather you than me! What are you expecting the de-certing to do? all it does is allows you to install non-certified applications. I guess we're puzzled as to what you're really wanting.
