Guest tomesy Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Hello - I think I know the answer to this but I'll ask anyway. I've downloaded a number of apps for the phone including Tennis, Slup, etc and installed them all via my home PC, carefully keeping a copy of the CAB file for future needs on my PC. However, when I went home for Xmas, I discovered the All-Locations explorer wasn't free, (it expired), and not having my PC handy, downloaded and installed it via my Phone over GPRS. I'm guessing the CAB file was removed once the application was removed, but I now want to do a hard-reset. I dont want to have to buy it again. Can the CAB file be recovered from the phone? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance
Guest zenabi Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Can the CAB file be recovered from the phone No, I don't think so, but you can just download the cab file again if you give the same details as when you bought it.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Or look in ISPMApplication DataAppMngrInstall (not to sure on the AppMgr bit, similar to that anyway), you'll only see it though all explorer but the .cab's of all applications you instal are copied here. I had 3.5meg of them clogging up my phones memory ;)
Guest zenabi Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Hmm I don't have an Install folder. There is however there application folders in IPSMWindowsAppMgr but no cabs. Do they get deleted after a power cycle?
