Getting ActiveSynch to work after hard reset?

I had to hard reset my C500, this worked fine. But now when I connect it to ActiveSynch, it connects ok, but ActiveSynch doesn't recognise the phone and seems to think its a different phone to the one last synched up. How do I sort this out?

Also how do I view the old synched contacts on the PC?
