For what it's worth Monolithix, I'm sorry.

I had to borrow my mum's old car last year (between a lightly modded Daewoo Nubira and my brand new Alfa 147) and during the time I had it someone smashed the window just to destroy the stereo. It feels like someone's ripped the bottom out of your stomach when you first find it.

If you find who did this dude, feel free to tell the police you were with me all evening, I'll back you up on that!

2 hours later and it seems i've been lucky, under the circumstances. My neighbour, who i've barely spoken to in 3 years (uni etc) very kindly helped me wash all the crap off the roof and windscreen while i cleaned the inside. Bar a few light stains on the seats it looks ok now.

Gutted though, i'm barely even angry (nb: that may change if i catch them at it again...), just speachless. Teach me to enjoy the sun and have my sunroof open!

thats totally out of order, im getting angry just reading about it, someone took a chunk out of my 2 week old seat ibiza in a sainsburrys car park, i mean you go out of the way to keep your car nice and idiots do stuff like that, madness

I think thats a little unnecesary, speaking as someone who is two months away from being a copper himself. Not all policeman are out to get you and make your life difficult, they have a job to do same as anyone else, and they dont deserve that.

I just checked back on this thread after a few day, cheers everyone! I only posted to vent some rage, didn't expect people to actually reply ;p

The police are annoying it its not necessarily their fault...its a lot easier to bang someone with a speedgun than track down a one off vandal hit unfortunately ;)

Incedentally the police did follow up mine and my neighbours call - they did a house to house of this and a few other streets. Not that i expect anything to come of it but at least the word will be out that the coppers were called and asking around....

I had the door of my Galant and Silvia peeled back when i first started seeing my gf (she was living in a dodgy area). Angry didnt even come close to how i felt. Bloody idiots never found the minidisc recorder hiding in the center armrest of the Galant tho ;)
