Ok, my contract is up for renewal in a couple of months, and I'm looking at the M2000. Just got one question. Most of the software I have on the C500 is cheap enough not to worry too much about, but I need to know if I can install my CoPilot for SmartPhone on the M2000 (once I've sorted out any licensing issues with ALK), or do I need the Pocket PC version?

You'll need the Pocket PC version.

There are only two progs I know of which work on both Smartphone and Pocket PC and they are both games by Muff, SPVInvaders and SPVMan.

This will change as Windows Mobile 2005 apparently blurs the distinction between Smartphone and Pocket PC editions.

Thanks. Are you happy with your MDA III?

There seem to be some amazingly cheap deals around for it compared to the Orange M2000 version. Might be tempted to jump ship

Very happy. Just be aware that out of bundle gprs is ridiculously expensive on T-Mobile so get a bundle and don't use it all up.

Also be careful not to break down in certain parts of Scotland with no signal like I did recently. A local told me he had no problems and was with Orange!

Don't worry, there's a half mile stretch near me where no-one gets a signal on any network. I've nicknamed it Royston Vasey ;)

Is there not even a signal for local people? ;)
