spv m1000 problem

Can anybody please help me ??

I had to do a hard reset today on my m1000 I have connected it back up to my laptop active sync works fine, everything looks good untill I try to re install any software it just does not reconise that the m1000 is there even though it has just sync (ed) it.

any advice would be welcome as this has been driving me nuts all day.
