Guest cold_fire Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 My C500 has a weird problem ,whenever i take photos against the sun (i ussualy take photos with the sun behind in order to have better light) the "middle" of the sun is replaced by a black or red dot and u can also see a red circle sometimes (images 2 and 3, ,it also happens when u take photo of a lake 4 example ,if the sun is reflecting in the water the dot is seen as well (image 1) ,in video mode the situation is the same ,i use to have a Siemens C60 with attachable camera with flash and it had no problems like this .Anyone else has the problem ,or a clue for a possible cause ? Thank u very much ! ;)
Guest dazultra2000 Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 You'll find that this happens with almost all mobile phone digital cameras, not just teh C500... similarly, try pointing a TV remote or similar device at the camera and press a button on the remote. You can see the transmitter lighting up!
Guest jcostantino Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 The sensor elements on that part of the CMOS chip overloaded and shut off. That happens on cheap digital cameras. Sometimes you'll get a vertical line in there as well. You're not "supposed" to take pictures facing the sun because it backlights your subject anyhow ;) My C500 has a weird problem ,whenever i take photos against the sun (i ussualy take photos with the sun behind in order to have better light) the "middle" of the sun is replaced by a black or red dot and u can also see a red circle sometimes (images 2 and 3, ,it also happens when u take photo of a lake 4 example ,if the sun is reflecting in the water the dot is seen as well (image 1) ,in video mode the situation is the same ,i use to have a Siemens C60 with attachable camera with flash and it had no problems like this .Anyone else has the problem ,or a clue for a possible cause ? The effects of the camera are also poor ,the day effect makes the picture a lot green that usual ,in night mode the effect is absolutelly useless ,even with some light the screen is "bright" dark ,i know that if u want a quality picture u have to take with with a digital camera not with one from a mobile phone. Thanx anyway 4 your answers . :D ;) Edited June 7, 2005 by cold_fire
