Smartphone Profiles Issues

Hi,

I'm having some problems in the Profiles on my smartphone. I have a KROME iQ700(HTC Typhoon based) smartphone. Recently I tried to update the ROM with the one downloaded from Internet(Orange 4.1.1.4 English). Since my operator is not Orange, the ROM update utility aborted and told that the operator does not match.

Now after this, the profile is stuck with Headset. I cannot change the profile and when I connect the headset(wired), the profile keeps switching between "Speakerphone" and "Headset" profiles regularly. However, I do not have any problems in receiving the calls. When connected to Headset, I hear the phone ring in my headset and also regular phone speaker. However, I cannot switch to silent. I'll have to edit the current profile(headset/speakerphone) to make the sound level to 1.

I'm also facing another problem, the applications auto-minimize after 30secs. For ex, if I'm using calendar to view my appointments and if I don't perform any operation within 20-25secs, the application is automatically minimized and I'll have to relaunch the application. Sometimes this happens when I'm playing games even if there is a key press operation happening regularly.

Can anybody point to some solution for these issues?

How to install ROM from a different operator. Should I change anything before upgrading the ROM?
