Guest Ti22 Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Hey guys, I just moved to Thailand and I bought a sim here and it wouldn't work with my SPV C500 phone so i read around and found out that I need to unlock sim of the phone but before that I have to do application unlock. So I followed the steps I ran the developer.orangews.co.uk...... page on my phone but i didn't get a message its prolly cuz I am in a different country and the phone can't recieve messages. I need the software that runs on my phone and unlocks it however I emailed [email protected] and that didn't work the email didn't go through so what do I do? Thx.
Guest martin Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Hi Ti22 AFAIK You should still be able to receive the text message in Thailand. You could test this by selecting the 'Download to SPV' option from the link below. This will instantly send a text message to your phone with a direst link to the the registry application. http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/downloaddef.aspx? It might actually be worth downloading and running the registry application on the phone to check that your IMEI is registered in their database. If you have problems when using a GPRS connection, try using the pass through connection instead. The pass through connection allows the SPV to use the PC's internet connection. Goto Start-Settings-Data Connections and make 'Internet connection: Pass through connection' and also make sure that Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-connection has 'Select Network: The internet'.
