Guest artistul Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 what is the max memory (Card) supported by the spv c500?
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 I've seen a maximum listed for the C500 somewhere else on this forum, but I can't remember where. It was a theoretical maximum that Windows can support of 2 x 10 to the power of stupid that worked out in Terabytes rather than Gigabytes. Trust me, by the time you can buy a MiniSd that's too big for the C500 to handle your grandkids will be asking what the funny thing making noises is that you're putting it into while they talk on their interstellar holographones (or whatever!) ;)
Guest ellischaplin Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 (edited) what is the max memory (Card) supported by the spv c500? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Assuming it works on a 32 bit system, it will be approximately 4GB (based on the maximimum addressable space). However, I have not heard of anyone putting more than 1GB miniSD in. Come to think of it, I am not sure you can get any bigger!! Edited June 6, 2005 by ellischaplin
Guest JamieDow Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 I have found a 2gb chip at £230 i'll try and dig out the link ;)
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 The 4GB card should be with us soon. 2GB would do for me though. I don't subscribe to the iPod-type view of carrying all your media around. I like to change the selection every week. Keeps things fresh and makes browsing for particular files easier. Guest artistul Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 so is here anyone that used a 1gb card and worked?
