Guest dkerwin Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Hi - this is my first questoin so apologies if I've got it wrong? Anyway, looking for help/advice and guidance. I have an orange SPV C500 phone and I leave it on typically 24x7. I'm finding it suffers from memory leakage - i.e. use contacts and then cancel it, but it doesn't release memory so after a while (typically 3 days) it goes slow, then runs out of memory and crashes. From powerup it says I've 9,348KB free. It crashes around 700KB. The O/S is Windows CE 4.21 (build 1088). I use Active Sync to sync outlook from my pc but that's about it. Any ideas what I can do to resolve the memory leak problem? Best regards Derek

Windows lists it's hobbies as -Breaking -Crashing -Over kill on mem usage If i were you i'd reboot the phone every morning - no windows machine should be left with out reboot for 3 days. And save time put task manager on speed dial.
Guest dkerwin Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Thanks bluesmudge, I've resigned myself to rebooting every now and then. I just wondered if there was a patch or software fix I could load to resolve it. My only other gripe with the phone is that I'm after a clock screensaver - if you know of one that would be great? regards derek
