Hi - this is my first questoin so apologies if I've got it wrong? Anyway, looking for help/advice and guidance. I have an orange SPV C500 phone and I leave it on typically 24x7. I'm finding it suffers from memory leakage - i.e. use contacts and then cancel it, but it doesn't release memory so after a while (typically 3 days) it goes slow, then runs out of memory and crashes.

From powerup it says I've 9,348KB free. It crashes around 700KB. The O/S is Windows CE 4.21 (build 1088). I use Active Sync to sync outlook from my pc but that's about it.

Any ideas what I can do to resolve the memory leak problem?

Best regards

Derek

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

START - - - ACCESSORIES - - - - TASK MANAGER - and manually close the programs yourself.

Windows lists it's hobbies as

-Breaking

-Crashing

-Over kill on mem usage

If i were you i'd reboot the phone every morning - no windows machine should be left with out reboot for 3 days. And save time put task manager on speed dial.

Thanks bluesmudge, I've resigned myself to rebooting every now and then. I just wondered if there was a patch or software fix I could load to resolve it.

My only other gripe with the phone is that I'm after a clock screensaver - if you know of one that would be great?

regards

derek
