Outlook Mobile Access Suddenly Stopped Working

Outlook Mobile Access has been working fine. All of a sudden today we came to try it from our Orange SPV C500's and we now get the following message when trying to sync:

Synchronisation Failed. Try again and if this condition persists, reset your device.

Error code: 0x80004005

Nothing's changed on our Exchange server. We've verified all the settings are correct both on our C500's and on the Exchange server.

Any ideas why it would suddenly stop working - and what does the error code mean?
