Guest cronik Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Hi all, Forgive me if this question has been asked before as I am new here. I want to install the altest ROM version (official release) for my QTek 8020. But prior on doing this, I'd like to create a complete ROM backup. My question is, will Sprinte Software do this? I just instaleld it and did a compelte backup, but the file is only 7MB or so...? Is this sufficient? Is this a real complete (image) backup ? So if the ROM update screws up, I assume that I can be safe by restoring this 7MB file? thanks guys!

However, if something should go wrong with the ROM upgrade, I don't believe Sprite could revert back to the previous ROM. In another forum there are many MPX-220 users who are constantly upgrading to various ROM versions. They are always advising: Keep a copy of your previous ROM. This further leads me to believe that Sprite Backup won't resore a corrupted ROM. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Guest Farcorfe Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Exactly the same question / thought here.... anyone able to ansswer please?
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Sprite does not create a copy of the ROM.
