I've had my SMT5600 for 3 months(its awesome). I use it with cingular (From att originally, unlocked), and after i set it up to work on the cingular network, i have had no problems whatsoever accessing the internet. The other day i turned it on and now it will no longer connect to the internet, OR send text messages.

When i try to connect to the internet (either through aim or IE), it gives me an 'Unable to place call' error.

When i used to send a text, i would recieve a 'message sent' notification shortly after i pressed the send button. Now when i try to send a text i dont get the notification at all (it doesn't say 'unable to place call') and the text never ends up getting sent (it isnt saved in my sent messages, or my outbox).

Have you ever had the same problem?

If so, how did you fix it?

Really appreciate any help i can get, i bought the phone primarily for internet use and now i feel border line disconnected with the internet down...

My phone gives this error if I try and place a WAP call instead of a GPRS one.. check your settings for connections and make sure your phone is connecting to the right one.

I get this error when I try to use the GPRS settings I've found on this site.

When I use WAP, I get connected (eventually).

However, when I entered a couple of sites yesterday, it said it couldn't find them.

I connected to my computer and it found them instantly. I saved one of them as a favourite and tried to connect to it when disconnected from my computer.

After about 5 minutes,it connected, but didn't download any pictures.

When I clicked on a submenu, it took another 5 minutes before coming back with the 'site not found' error.

This is doing my head in, my old T610 connected to wap and accessed pages really quickly.

I'm trying this on O2.

Has anyone any ideas?

thx
