Guest hhol Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 Hello, I just bought the M2500 plantronics bluetooth headset for my MPx220. Question on the usage. I set it up as handsfree on the phone. Now, when I get a call it goes direct to headset. What do I do, if I don't want it to go to headset - I can either turn off bluetooth on phone permanently or when I get a call, I can click on menu -> turn off handsfree. Is that only 2 ways? hhol
Guest gazelle Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 (edited) don't set it up as "hands free". i leave my profile on normal and i can either answer the phone with the headset or just pick up and use the phone to answer, just leave the bluetooth mode on. Edited June 9, 2005 by gazelle

The HS810 has the ability to be turned on & off. The boom acts as the on/off switch. When my boom is opened (on), the phone switches to hands free and when I close (off) the boom, it goes to my normal profile.

Guest mrslother Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 (edited) Me too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even if your phone detects the BT headset incoming calls answered by the phone should use the phone's speaker/microphone. If you answered it using the headset then it should route audio to the headset However the MPx220 ALWAYS routes incoming calls to the headset (if detected) regardless of where you answered the phone (handset vs headset). I talked with some testers over in the Windows Mobile team and they acknowleged that this behavior is a bug with the 220. Additionally on my MPx220 if the BT headset is detected it ALWAYS changes the profile to headset (I am unable to change it to anything else). I love the phone but Motorola certainly sucks with these bugs (also add the inability to voicedial using the BT headset). Edited June 20, 2005 by mrslother
