Does anyone know ANYTHING about UK network release

Some network has to deliver the slightly flawed but loved MPX220 to the UK. Yes I know you can get it sim free and even with a contract but it's not an officially supported network phone.

I posted here a while back that Vodafone and Virgin were about to release it but that turned out to be oblox - can't really expect customer services departments of 2 major companies to actually know what they're talking about can you? So anyway Voda are only releasing it to 'Corporate' customers, not even Business customers and Virgin say they have no plans to release it. O2 have binned it from their catalogue and don't see it appearing anytime soon. Orange are tied up with HTC so doubt they're interested.

By the way, has anyone got a good e-mail address for O2? Used to have a good one inside their catalogue, was [email protected] or something like that and got some good intelligent responses but it doesn't seem to be working anymore - would just like to know if it's coming back?

Lastly, even ALK who produce the Co-Pilot Sat Nav system announced a European tie-up with Moto to sell MPX220's with Co-Pilot bundles but they are suspiciously quiet on the subject - they're not answering any e-mails!

So does anyone know anything at all?

Surprised you say Vodafone won't be doing the MPx220. I rang Vodafone Direct (after they took over SinglePoint) to get my PAC number. When they asked why, I said it was beacuse they didn't do the MPx220. They said this wasn't true and offered it to me as an upgrade for £30.

Blimey! I'm going to phone them up then - my contract was recently transferred to Vodafone Direct from Singlepoint Vodafone so this has got to be good news! Can I ask what sort of monthly spend you had to get it for £30? I have had a contract with them for years but not had a new upgrade for just over 2 years now so they must owe me something. I'm quite happy to sign up to a new contract for about £30 per month or so if necessary.

Just got mine today from CPW Reading branch...sim free. Was originally going to get a Nokia 6680 but after seeing the moto & feeling it in my hands...I couldn't resist it.

My first ever flip phone. Just hope I can get used to having to open the phone before answering.

Now I can put to rest my SPV C500 which has been acting really naughty since I put the French ROM in it.
