Guest The Undefeated Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I havnt used the WMP for videos since my original SPV, but i had a couple of WMV vids i wanted on my phone, and i put t into "fullscreen" mode. And it was ***** All it does is rotate it (a bit pointless) and puts a black border around the whole thing. Shouldnt it stretch the vid across the screen? Is there something wrong with it? Anyway, is there any other media player that does WMV? with proper full screen?
Guest Confused Stu Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Windows Media can play fullscreen, but it doesn't stretch it. This means if you size a video for the full screen it'll now play it. But if it was sized to fit into the old media player (with the borders round it) it won't actually fill the screen with the newer player! To be honest, ever since Betaplayer v0.5 came out I haven't even touched my Media Player. Betaplayer plays WMV no problem (although apparently it can't if you've got WMP10 installed - some codec ends up missing?). Betaplayer's on http://betaplayer.corecodec.org and it's free! ;)
Guest The Undefeated Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I have the betaplayer, but that didnt recognise my wmv files, they just didnt show up on the browser.
Guest The Undefeated Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 i just went and checked, i turned of the filter, opened the file and it said that it was an unknown file format.
