Hello, ive been loving my time with the MPx200, but recently, both incoming and outgoing phonecalls are going weird on me.

I dont hear anything, but the call connects and I believe the person on the other line can hear me...

Now i would say that this is due to a faulty speaker, but I remembered reading somewhere that holding the blue button lets u speakerphone in the car...

I dont know why, but i pressed and held it. Sometimes I can barely hear the person on the other line, like the speaker is on very low.

but then some other, rare, times, I can hear them perfectly fine.

does anyone know what's going on?

It's getting quite annoying...i hope i dont have to get it repaired, since mpx200s dont come from around here (canada)

It may be worth doing a hard reset first as there may be an underlining registry\application causing the fault.

If that does not work then it may be worth looking at the connector strip from the speakers to the pcb as they both share the same connector so it also may be possible (but unlikly) that this cable may be loose.

actually, what you said sounds like what may be the case..

I did a hard reset to no avail, and I find myself having to put pressure on the area around the 'M' logo on the blue steel portion of the front to hear calls...

is this easy to pop open? id sure like to take a look

It's fairly easy with the right tools and a bit of patience, have a look at my pinned post in this section on how to strip the phone.
