Guest jonhguth Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 ok so i am about to buy a 512mb or 1Gb card but was wondering if i should get a high speed card or a regular one. how much better is the high speed card.
Guest Madeye Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 (edited) Hey, I haven't got a high speed card but i DO have a sandisk 1gb miniSD, it's slow if you wanna fill it all up in one go from your PC, but the chances are you won't - it'll more likely be a few things at a time. As far as performance goes, it'd make no difference having a high speed card, my MP3's, movies, games, apps and anything else I run from it are perfectly smooth. I'd definately go for the 1gb, bigger is definately better (in this case at least ;) ) And check out this price! Surely you can't refuse... Just thought... sorry if that link was misleading, it's £48 + £2 p&p + £8.40 VAT (i think). You can do the math - I hope. Ack, just realised that it's £2.35 cheaper than when I bought mine 4 days ago! Lucky you. Edited June 9, 2005 by Madeye
Guest jonhguth Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 what i am asking is if the phone can even take advantage of the card. how much faster, if any, would the high speed card be when moving mp3's to the phone. i'd rather not sit around for 6 hours waiting on 512+mb of mp3's
Guest dolphinsmile Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 (edited) Get yourself a card reader for about 6 pounds. Filling the card will take about ten minutes maybe even less I'v never tried from empty. If your transferring small files then leave the card in the phone and use the usb cable. Dont fuss with high speed/low speed. At the above price you can't go wrong. Oh and get the 1gb card But get one soon or you'll be missing out on all the fun. Be Lucky.
