C500, Tom Tom and BT headset conflict

I would like to know if anyone else has experienced the following problem and if there is a solution.

I am using TomTom Mobile 5, C500 and Jabra BT250V.

When navigating using TomTom I occasionaly want to call my Orange answer service. This I can do and it answers. It then says 'to listen press 1'.

Here's where the problem starts. The tones don't work and TomTom keeps taking the screen focus away from the phone. Pressing the number keys doesn't generate the tones.

So, I exit Tom Tom to get my messages. However, exiting TomTom turns off Bluetooth. So now the headset doesn't work.

I have to exit Tom Tom. restart bluetooth, reboot, call the Orange answer service, use the tones, end the call and then restart Tom Tom!

Does anyone else experience this?

I have contacted Tom Tom and so far not had a reply.

All help appreciated.
