SMT5600 mp3 ring-tones and phenetic dialing

If i load any .wma or .wav file into the "my docs" folder i can use them perfectly as ringtones however when i load MP3's i can few them in the sounds folder but when i press done it doesnt do anything??? also is there software for phenetic dialing.
