Cheers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it's wrong, it simply won't work. I used the GPRS settings on Vodafone no problems. IIRC the MMS settings didn't work, but it was some time ago that I did it - probably just wasn't enabled on that account. (Wasn't my phone.) As for legit? Absoluetly no idea - I'm not a lawyer, just some ordinary bloke. 8)

Any ideas!!!!! So u think if asked vodafone to send me the sim update i.e gprs setting to the phone will work? Edited June 10, 2005 by hotlatte

I only ever once asked a provider to send settings to my phone. It installed so much guff, I vowed never to do it again - so I do it manually now. It was a bit like installing the AOL suite of software on a PC. ;)

Guest hotlatte Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 oh yeah following your instructions i see exactly as above otherwise i was going into orange settings to change the setting to vodafone but didnt see all the above <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have added a new gprs vodafone connection but orange settings and connections are still visible..when i try to go to internet explorer it does not connect and gives the error message " Unable to connect verify you have the network coverage". Mind you the coverage is fine. Do i now need to remove orange connections ? Do i also need to add wap settings? Please help
Guest mossywell Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 Do i now need to remove orange connections ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't actually "need" to, but if you're not going to be using the phone on Orange, then I would get rid of them and anything else "Orange-esque" lying around. Do i also need to add wap settings? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to fix this problem. Please help <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm doing my best. ;) Open up IE --> Menu --> Options --> Connections Try this: Remove the tick from the box and set "select network" to "The Internet". If that doesn't work, try putting the tick back in see what gives.
