mda compact txt phonebook?

hey im new to the whole windows on phones yet alone pocket pc's. i was old school nokia.

My problem is i have all my mates numbers on my phone so i can ring them no prob but when they txt me no name comes up and even if i copy and paste the number and ring it still dont show up with a names in my call list?

Actually you have a Pocket PC Phone Edition device but anyway... ;)

In general you need to use international format numbers for the Caller ID software to work. That is you need to replace the first 0 in the number with +44 for UK numbers.

Even then you'll find that the phone often doesn't link the text to the Contact, but it's not too bad.

cheers for the reply =) i have most of them in that formatas thats how they come when they rang me on my old nokia, the only way i seem to get a name 2 show is if i manully type in the contact, which will take me awhile for all of them.

Ive just found out my phone does about 5 or 6 rings b4 it actally rings my end i was worndering why i was missing so many calls, So i tested it by ringing my own phone it rang loads b4 i heard it on my "Pocket PC Phone Edition device" ;) then like 1 ring on my mob and it goes to voicemail?
