WiFi Connection to internet via spv m2000

HELP!! I am completely new to pocket pc world, I have m2000 from orange. I can get a connected to wifi network ok when using both wififofum or inbuilt scanner but it just will not connect to the internet so i can use skpe. It keeps coming up saying check internet connection. Internet works ok on gprs.
